Meet the Team - William Hemingway
Tell us about your role.
In my role as Transaction Manager, I am part of the Sales team. I handle all the finance applications at the showroom and deal with insurance products such as GAP and SMART insurance. I see every single sales customer, providing support and guidance on these additional products and services; they can be complex, but invaluable if the customer needs them. I also ensure all purchases are FCA compliant whilst also maintaining the highest levels of customer service.
What drew you to the role at Volvo Cars Poole?
After a seven-year career serving in the Army, I decided to go in a completely different direction and became a Sales Specialist, firstly working for Peugeot and then moving to Volvo Cars Poole in 2020. Earlier this year I was promoted to the Transaction Manager role which I was excited about as I saw there was a good opportunity in helping to further improve our customer experience.
What does a typical day look like for you?
Every morning is spent going through that day’s appointments with the Sales Specialists and planning for the day ahead. I will speak with each customer coming to the showroom, handling every finance application and discussing any additional requirements they have. I also work alongside the management team assisting and helping the team to achieve our goals.
The best part of my job is the ability to help both the Sales team and our customers and ensure that customers have all the correct information, funding, and protection needed for their new Volvo.
