Poole named one of the UK’s most electric vehicle-friendly cities
Poole has been recognised in the top 10 of the UK’s most electric vehicle-friendly cities.
The study* evaluated each city across a series of factors, such as fast charging stations, access to off-street parking and electricity costs, with Poole ranking 10th overall, and notably having 83.9 public electric vehicle chargers per 100,000 people.
A key champion of the city’s adoption of the new technology has been Volvo Cars Poole, which has offered locals expert guidance, test drives and tailored support for Poole drivers considering the change to an electric car.
In line with Volvo’s ambition for 90 to 100 per cent of its car sales to consist of electrified cars by 2030, the retailer’s home also features electric charging points for Volvo’s growing range of new and used electric vehicles.
Jonathan Powell, Head of Business, said: “We are excited to see Poole being recognised for its commitment to an electric future, especially having 83.9 public electric vehicle chargers per 100,000 people.
“More drivers than ever are looking to explore electric vehicles, and we are here to help guide them with our expert team to continue making our city greener. Here at Volvo Cars Poole, we are passionate about supporting Volvo’s mission towards a more sustainable future while also helping drivers discover how easy switching to an electric vehicle can be.
“We are excited to invite customers interested in making a greener change to come for a test drive around Poole.”
