Electric Performance
Available with several different powertrain options, you can customise the drive of the Volvo EX40 to suit you. Choose from a Single Motor, Single Motor Extended Range, Twin Motor or Twin Motor Performance platform.
Achieve up to 356 miles of electric range with the Single Motor Extended Range platform, with charging times of around 26-28 minutes to go from 10-80%.
Interior and Technology
Stepping inside the Volvo EX40, you’ll notice the high-quality materials and thoughtful details that are used throughout. To create an airy and spacious interior, there is a clean, horizontal layout. Volvo has also used an increased amount of recycled and sustainable materials throughout the interior.
At the centre of the cabin is a portrait-orientated touchscreen display, running Google's infotainment system. With this you can access Google Maps with live traffic updates and charging station information, Google Assistant voice control and wireless smartphone connectivity.
The seats inside are designed with long-distance journeys in mind. Both front and rear passengers benefit from generous head and leg room due to the SUV body style. The raised seating position also gives excellent visibility.
Practicality
The EX40's boot offers a spacious 536 litres of storage. Fold down the rear seatbacks, and the capacity expands to 1,400 litres, including a 59-litre compartment beneath the boot floor. To maximise space, the inner wheel arches are repositioned, creating a wider boot and a flat loading floor. For added convenience, the power-operated tailgate can be opened and closed hands-free with a simple kick under the bumper. Alternatively, you can use the buttons on the tailgate or the central display.
