Meet the Team - Aaron
At Volvo Cars Poole, it’s not just our vehicles that are engineered for excellence, it’s our people too. Meet Aaron, our knowledgeable and committed Workshop Controller, who plays a vital role in keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes.
Aaron brings over 15 years of experience as a technician, and for the past four years, he’s been applying his skills in a leadership capacity. His favourite part of the role? “Assisting the workshop and sharing knowledge from Volvo.”
It’s a collaborative approach that ensures every technician is supported, informed, and ready to deliver first-class service to every customer. Among the many Volvos to pass through the Poole workshop, Aaron recalls one that stood out: “We had a Volvo P1800 in, that’s something a bit different”. A true classic, and a welcome change of pace from the modern machines.
Speaking of modern, Aaron recently attended a two-day technical training event on the flagship Volvo EX90, a highlight in his calendar and a reminder of just how quickly the automotive world continues to evolve. Aaron also offers a top tip to drivers for extending vehicle life and performance:
“Before you drive away, leave the car to idle for a minute. This allows oil pressure to build and lubricate key components. When you finish your journey, let the car idle again to allow cooling and prevent hot spots.” That kind of insight comes from years of hands-on experience and deep technical knowledge.
Behind the scenes, Aaron takes great care to read and assess every job that comes through the workshop. This ensures the right technician is assigned to each task, matching skills with the needs of the vehicle and, ultimately, ensuring customer satisfaction.
And when the tools go down? “I spend as much time as I can get away with on two wheels,” he says, clearly a man who enjoys his time both in and out of the garage.
With a cool head, a passion for precision, and a wealth of knowledge, Aaron is a key part of what makes Volvo Cars Poole a centre of excellence for service and care.
