Meet the Team - Nicola Thompson
Tell us about your role.
As the service manager, I am responsible for managing the workshop and front-of-house team to ensure every process within the service department runs smoothly and customers receive great service.
What drew you to the role at Volvo Cars Poole?
I first started as a service advisor in 2017 and really enjoyed my role in customer service. Although the role is fast-paced and challenging, providing a great service and interacting with people on a human level is what gave me the most satisfaction. I progressed to service manager earlier this year and now get the opportunity in a leadership role to help my team develop and find their own ways to create an amazing customer experience.
What does a typical day look like for you?
Meetings with the team to keep up-to-date and provide new information from Volvo, review past experiences, and discuss monthly goals. Providing training and support to the team. Ensure cleanliness and standards are maintained and look for areas for improvement and progression.
