The Volvo EX30 Takes on Cornwall: A Road Trip to Remember
Brennan, a valued team member at Volvo Cars Poole, recently took the all-electric Volvo EX30 Ultra on an unforgettable road trip from Volvo Cars Poole to Cornwall. His destination was the world-renowned Eden Project, followed by live performances at the Eden Sessions Music Festival - a summer celebration of music, nature, and sustainability.
The four-day trip covered a total of 653 miles, with the Volvo EX30 Ultra handling every mile with confidence, comfort, and electric efficiency. Over the course of the journey, Brennan spent just £70 on charging, demonstrating the impressive cost-efficiency of electric travel. With over 500 public chargers across Cornwall, finding convenient charging points was never an issue.
On the return journey, Brennan made a quick stop at the Exeter Hub, one of the UK’s ultra-rapid charging stations. There, he charged the Volvo EX30 from 43% to 90% in a short time, spending just £19.26 using a 350kW charger priced at 50p/kWh - a seamless experience that kept the journey smooth and stress-free.
Reflecting on the experience, Brennan said:
““The Volvo EX30 Ultra was the perfect companion for the trip – reliable, super comfortable, and packed with space for everything I needed over the four days I spent in Cornwall. It handled the long miles with ease, and charging was much easier than I expected. I couldn’t have asked for more out of my trip.”
This trip not only showcased the Volvo EX30’s real-world range and comfort but also highlighted the growing infrastructure supporting electric drivers across the UK, particularly in Cornwall.
As the shift to electric continues, journeys like Brennan’s prove that sustainable travel doesn't have to compromise on experience, comfort, or convenience.
